Arteta: Arsenal Don't Need a 'Reset'

Arsenal currently sit fifth in the Premier League table.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is confident the club doesn’t need a "reset" despite recent struggles, having gained just one point from their last three Premier League matches.

Following losses to Newcastle and Bournemouth and a draw with Liverpool, Arsenal now sits seven points behind leaders Liverpool. A 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan on Wednesday has also placed them 12th in the Champions League standings.

Arteta is steadfast in his approach, saying, "I don't think about [needing a reset]. Nobody works harder than me, I guarantee you that. We don’t need a reset. We just need to go from 95% to 100% in one specific area," though he didn’t elaborate on what that might be.

Arsenal faces Chelsea in a crucial Premier League match on Sunday. Martin Odegaard, back from injury after playing midweek, is expected to be available, while Declan Rice is doubtful following his absence against Inter. "I have to be very vague on [Rice] because there’s no clarity on if he’ll be fit for the weekend," Arteta noted. While Odegaard is confirmed in the squad, a decision on his starting status remains undecided.
